Bahamas Trip Report 2011

It's been 2 years in the making and the next flying adventure to the Bahamas has been flown!!!!!  

You can go to the Van's Air Force website for a blog with pictures that I tried to update every day.  

My pictures start near the bottom of page 2.

Tuppergal and I departed California on Saturday morning, May 21st visting friends along the way.  We arrived home 
on Sunday afternoon, June 12th flying 49.7 hours and +6600nm.

We had 12 RVs and 2 non-RV making the trip to Great Exuma in the Bahamas.  Here are the pilots and crew

Here's our itinerary that was changed due to weather (the Joplin tornado on May 22nd to be exact): 

Saturday (5/21): Departed SoCAL for Cleveland (OK) to visit friends
Sunday (5/22): Departed Cleveland for Grove (OK) to visit friends
Monday (5/23): Depart Grove for lunch with Geno & Robin Jezek in Ozark (MO) to Lambert's then to Osage Beach (MO) to visit friends
Tuesday (5/24): Departed Osage Beach for Kokomo (IN) to visit friends Grove for Asheville (NC) then visited downtown Asheville.
Wednesday (5/25): Visited the Biltmore Estate in Asheville
Thursday (5/26): Departed Kokomo Asheville (NC) to see the Biltmore Estate on Friday. to Louisville (GA) to see Pierre Smith 

                 in the morning then into Atlanta to visit Mike "Kahuna" Stewart.
Friday (5/27): Spent the day touring Atlanta with Michael "Moose" White
Saturday: (5/28): Departed Asheville to ???? (my original plans just changed so not sure what to do) Spent the day with Team RV
Sunday (5/29): Departed ??? to ??? Not sure where we will be but we plan Atlanta to Cedar Key (FL) for lunch then into Clearwater (FL)
               to visit friends 
Tuesday (5/31): Departed Clearwater to Venice (FL) for fuel/meet up with four other RVs who joined us to Key West for lunch
                then flew back along the Keys to Homestead (FL)
Wednesday (6/1): Departed Homestead for the island of Great Exuma (ICAO MYEF), ~280nm, 2-hr flight to the Palm Bay Beach Club
Wednesday (6/8): Departed Great Exuma, landing Fort Pierce (FL), clear customs continue to Foley (AL) Pensacola (FL)
Thursday (6/9): Departed Foley (AL) Pensacola, landing Addison (TX: near Dallas) to visit friends
Saturday (6/11): Departed Addison for Stephenville (TX) for lunch then landing Pecan Plantation in Granbury (TX) to visit friends
Sunday (6/12): Departed Grandbury, landing SoCAL around 1530 local time
